Frequently Ask Questions
Do I need a passport to travel to Ghana?
Yes. A valid U.S. passport is required and must be valid for at least 6 months after your return date. If you don’t have one, we highly recommend applying now to avoid delays.
Is a visa required for Ghana?
Yes. All U.S. citizens must obtain a visa to enter Ghana. We will provide step-by-step guidance and support to help you through the visa application process once you book your spot. You may also check this website: https://ghanaembassydc.org/visa/
Are vaccinations required?
Yes. Ghana requires proof of a Yellow Fever vaccination. It must be obtained at least 10 days before travel. We’ll send details on where to get vaccinated and how to carry your International Certificate of Vaccination (the yellow card).
Are flights included in the package?
No. Airfare is not included. Travelers are responsible for booking their own flights to and from Accra (ACC). We’ll share flight recommendations and arrival times to help you align with group transportation.
What airport do I fly into?
You’ll fly into Kotoka International Airport (ACC) in Accra, Ghana. Airport transfers are included as long as you arrive and depart within the group’s designated time window.
Is this a group trip? Can I come solo?
Yes and yes! This is a group experience curated for sisterhood, soul-healing, and royalty. Many guests come solo—you’ll instantly be part of our luxe travel family and matched with a roommate if needed (unless you choose single occupancy).
Can I get my own room?
Absolutely. Single occupancy is available for an additional cost. Please select that option during booking. Space is limited for solo rooms, so early booking is encouraged.
What’s the payment plan?
We offer flexible monthly payment plans. A $100 deposit secures your spot. After that, your remaining balance will be divided into equal monthly payments. Your final payment is due August 1, 2026.
What’s included in the package?
This trip includes 8 nights at the 4-star Tang Palace Hotel, roundtrip airport transfers, daily breakfast, cultural tours, the African naming ceremony, group excursions, curated dinners, and a SC Luxe Travels gift bag. You'll be guided by a local team and our on-site trip host.
What’s not included in the package?
Airfare, travel insurance, visa fees, vaccinations, meals not listed, tips for guides, and personal spending are not included. We recommend budgeting extra for souvenirs, spa services, and incidentals.
What’s the refund or cancellation policy?
All payments are non-refundable and non-transferable. Travel insurance is required to protect your investment in case of emergencies or unexpected changes. We’ll send insurance recommendations after booking.
How many people will be on this trip?
We’re aiming for a beautifully intimate group of up to 30 travelers. This allows for meaningful connection while maintaining luxury service.

Making reservations for this package signifies your acceptance of our Terms & Conditions.
▪️The deposit payment is non-refundable, non-transferable, and final upon receipt.
▪️All payments to SC Luxe Travels for Ghana are non-refundable, non-transferable, and final upon receipt. This is because SC Luxe Travels has contractual agreements with hotels/resorts and other vendors that do not allow us to obtain refunds. This policy helps us keep our package prices competitive and allows you to make monthly vacation payments.
▪️Prices are subject to change without notice due to currency fluctuations.
☑️ PAYMENT TERMS
▪️Monthly payments are required to keep your reservation current unless you make larger payments than required by your monthly payment plan.
▪️Your invoice will clearly note your payment plan. We suggest adding this payment plan to your personal calendar.
You must ensure your roommate, if applicable, is also making timely monthly payments.
☑️ TRAVEL DOCUMENTS
▪️Passengers are responsible for ensuring that they have the proper travel documents. Please check with the respective consulate(s) or visa agency to determine whether any visas or passports are required.
▪️Passports must be valid for at least 6 months after the date of travel. Some countries also require a full blank “VISA” page in the passport for stamping purposes.
▪️Any information provided in the travel description pertains to U.S. citizens only. Non-U.S. citizens should check with the respective consulate(s) of the country(ies) to be visited for current entry requirements.
▪️Reservations must be made in your FULL NAME as it appears on your passport.
☑️ LATE PAYMENT TERMS
▪️A $150 late payment fee per person is required after the final due date listed on your payment plan. Late payment fees are automatically added to your reservation the day after your final due date.
▪️If a reservation is canceled for any reason, no refunds or transfers will be issued.
▪️All late payment requests must be submitted in writing and approved by management before the final payment deadline on your invoice.
▪️A $20 late fee will be assessed for payments that are 15 days past due.
☑️ NAME CHANGES
▪️Name changes are allowed with a $200 name change fee up until the final payment date. After the final payment date, a $250 name change fee will apply, along with any additional vendor fees.
